Mac Edwards, now overseeing six Charlotte stations, plans to step down in early September and spend more time with family before exploring new adventures.
   

• Military selects NC State to lead textile manufacturing modernization program (wunc.org) — A major new Department of Defense–backed textile initiative will ultimately be run from Gaston College's Belmont campus, putting our area at the center of modernizing military textile manufacturing. NC State will lead the 10-year FutureTEX program, partnering with Gaston College and industry to scale advanced materials, automation, and workforce training that could boost jobs and innovation across our region.
