• Dickinson residents volunteer under Samaritan's Purse group (thedickinsonpress.com) — Burnsville is still rebuilding from 2024's Hurricane Helena, with Samaritan's Purse volunteers helping restore homes, land, and basic living spaces for displaced residents. Recent volunteers from North Dakota joined a national team clearing debris, constructing tiny homes, and furnishing mobile units, all at no cost to homeowners. The long-term project includes plans for a 106-acre development to house survivors and support future volunteers.
