10 Charlotte Runners Finish Boston Marathon

Ten finishers of the 2017 Boston Marathon are from Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC -- More than 27,000 runners competed in the Boston Marathon April 17, and ten of them were from Charlotte.

Marathon entries for Christopher Capps, Chunfeng She, Franklin Keathley, James Perez, John Walmsley, Chase Smith, Paul Cavanaugh Jr., Caleb Boyd, Ryan Mills and Baki Oguz all listed Charlotte as their hometown. Race organizers reported that citizens of 99 countries participated in Monday’s race. Of the 27,221 racers that started the marathon, 97 percent finished.
