2 Dead, 1 Injured After Early Morning Shooting in South Charlotte

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting on Glenn Abbey Way.

A South Charlotte neighborhood was turned into a crime scene early Sunday morning after 2 people were found dead inside a home. The 911 came in at 3:53 a.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded and located a male and female inside of a residence in the 11400 block of Glenn Abbey Way. Police say both victims were found with apparent gunshot wounds. They were both pronounced dead by paramedics. CMPD says a third person was located with a gunshot wound and was transported by ambulance to Atrium Health's Carolina's Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Homicide Detectives are currently canvassing the area to determine whether there are any witnesses to this incident. At this time police say they are not looking for any additional suspects.
