CHARLOTTE, NC — From The Bacon Brothers to a food tour in Plaza Midwood, there are plenty of fun events happening around Charlotte this weekend. If you're looking for something to do, Patch has you covered.
Charlotte’s rainy weather of late will likely continue into the weekend. Rain continues in the forecast through the weekend, and humid highs of near 90 degrees. There’s a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

- Rock The Park 2018 — Grammy-award winning TobyMac kicks off this season’s music festival at Carowinds. Saturday, June 2. Doors open at 4 p.m. Carowinds, 300 Carowinds Boulevard, Charlotte.
- Yoga In The Park — Say event organizers: “This is a great way to enjoy a FREE beginner-friendly Yoga ‘class on the grass’ while connecting and networking with other women in our community. Bring your Yoga mat or a towel and your awesome energy!” Saturday, June 2. 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Freedom Park, Charlotte.
- Old Flavors, New Favorites Plaza Midwood Food Tour — Say event orgnizers: “Get an inside look into the neighborhood's storied past while enjoying the cuisines that make the area a popular place to live, work, and play today. The diversity of Plaza Midwood is reflected in its food, with historic diners and popular dives serving up old favorites alongside modern restaurants and local watering holes bringing new flavors into the mix. Saturday, June 2, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- We’ve Got The Jazz Festival — Say event organizers: “This family friendly event is inspired by jazz, a truly American style of music. The event runs from 12-6 p.m. and will feature live music on two stages, art activities, local vendors, food trucks, games and a cash bar. The Bechtler galleries will also be open!” Sunday, June 2, noon — 6 p.m. Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, 420 S. Tryon Street Charlotte.
