The calls show she waited more than an hour from her first report of threats until officers arrived. CMPD says the response missed its 20-minute goal because officers were handling roughly twice the usual call volume.

South Charlotte neighbors concerned after coyotes allegedly attack, kill dog (wbtv.com) ā Neighbors in south Charlotte's Huntingtowne Farms area are on edge after a resident's dog disappeared during a suspected coyote attack, following several recent sightings in local yards. Wildlife officials say coyotes are native and won't respond to simple sightings, but Charlotte Animal Care and Control will step in if people or pets are hurt. Licensed trappers in Mecklenburg County can also be hired to remove nuisance animals.

The project will boost production capacity over several years, with hiring ramping up as construction progresses. Local workers in operations and technical roles should see new opportunities as the corridor's tech manufacturing base grows.
