Check your lottery tickets — A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in this Charlotte suburb.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Lowell, North Carolina, beating the odds of about 1 in almost 12 million, according to lottery officials.
The winning ticket in the Saturday night drawing was sold at the Lowell Mini Mart on McAdenville Road in Gaston County.
According to NC Education Lottery, the winning numbers were 24-25-52-60-66 for the white balls and 5 for the red Powerball.

“The ticket matched all five white balls drawn to win $1 million,” NC Education Lottery said in a statement. “The lucky ticket beat odds of 1 in 11.7 million.”
No one won Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, which means the jackpot for the March 27 drawing will climb to a $750 million annuity, worth $465.5 million cash.
