Armed Robbers Used Semi-Auto Guns With Lasers: CMPD
Two men robbed a north Charlotte convenience store Friday and police are asking for help in identifying them.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Two men robbed a north Charlotte convenience store Friday morning with semi-automatic handguns, according to police, who are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
The robbery was one of several reported over the weekend in the Charlotte metro area.
The two suspects robbed the Express Stop #2, located at 2947 Gibbon Road in north Charlotte, at gunpoint on April 6 shortly before 7 a.m., according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. Both fled the scene on foot.

“Both suspects displayed black semi-automatic handguns that appeared to have lasers attached to them,” CMPD said in a statement.

Police are also searching for another pair of armed robbery suspects wanted for robbing businesses in west Charlotte and north Charlotte over the weekend.
On the afternoon of April 6, the male suspects robbed Star’s Arcade, located at 5352 South Boulevard around 5 p.m. Later that night, around 11 p.m., the same suspects robbed the Fish Hut arcade, located at 4016 Wilkinson Boulevard. Less than 24 hours later, the suspects robbed Computer B, located at 5221 Equipment Drive in north Charlotte around 4:30 p.m., firing a shot inside the business, CMPD said.
