Arrest Made In Sexual Assault of 72 Year-Old Woman
Charlotte police have arrested a man they say is wanted for assaulting a 72-year-old woman and her 94-year-old mother.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police arrested a man they say broke into the apartment of two elderly women in west Charlotte early last month, assaulting a 94-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her 72-year-old daughter.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, Tai’Quan Rodgers, 23, broke into the mother and daughter’s apartment on Farmer Street shortly before 4 a.m. Dec. 9, waking the pair who had been sleeping.
The 94-year-old victim told police the suspect assaulted her before sexually assaulting her daughter.

During the course of the investigation, CMPD detectives identified Rodgers as the primary suspect in the case nd he was located and arrested Jan. 22 without incident, according to a CMPD report.
Police are now looking for more potential victims. “At this time, detectives are reviewing similar cases to determine if Rodgers is responsible for those cases,” CMPD said.
