Back To School Health Fair This Saturday

The event will provide free health exams and dental screenings, as well as school supplies, for the city's underserved youth.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- The 13th annual "Back to School" Children's Health Fair is coming back to north Charlotte, hosted at the Camino Community Center. Organizers are expecting 2,000 attendees, the Charlotte Observer reported.

The bilingual community center serves Mecklenburg County's lower income residents, providing health care, nutrition and a food pantry.

School supplies will be offered at the event, just like last year, when over 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies were donated to kids in need.
