Biker Rescued By Helicopter Near U.S. National Whitewater Center

An injured biker on a remote trail near the U.S. National Whitewater Center had to be rescued and airlifted by helicopter Sunday afternoon.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- A biker who suffered a serious injury while on a remote trail near the U.S. National Whitewater Center Sunday had to be airlifted to medical treatment by helicopter, according to multiple reports.

The biker suffered “potentially life-threatening” injuries, The Charlotte Observer reported Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred along the “Carolina Thread Trail,” off the Whitewater Center’s property, a spokesperson told the newspaper.
