Bomb Threat Leads To Tryon Street Office Building Evacuation in Uptown Charlotte

A skyscraper in the heart of uptown Charlotte was evacuated for a bomb threat Tuesday morning.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Odell Plaza, a skyscraper in the heart of uptown Charlotte, was evacuated by authorities early Tuesday morning after a business in the building received a bomb threat, according to The Charlotte Observer.

The threat was also called in to the business’ offices in Dallas and Boston the morning of May 30, the newspaper said.

Employees were allowed to return into the building in the 500 block of North Tryon Street around 11 a.m.
