Man Shot Dead In Front Yard Of East Charlotte Home
Charlotte police found one person dead on Uppergate Lane and say they're now launching a homicide investigation.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Police are investigating an east Charlotte homicide after a man was found shot to death in the front yard of a house on Uppergate Lane, CMPD said Wednesday evening.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police received a call around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 30 that a man had been shot. Once they arrived to the 4000 block of Uppergate Lane, they pronounced the victim dead.
The victim’s identity will be released pending notification of next of kin, CMPD said.
