Carolina Place Mall Reopens After Fatal Shooting In Store
One person was shot and killed by a shoe store worker during an argument at Carolina Place Mall Sunday, according to reports.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Carolina Place Mall in Pineville reopened Monday, one day after a shoe store employee allegedly shot and killed a man in the store with a semi-automatic handgun Sunday afternoon, according to reports.
The mall worker in Pineville reportedly opened fire on another person during an argument inside a shoe store, killing the person. Fox46 reported that emergency officials were called around noon Sunday to the DTLR store.
The mall was set to reopen Monday, WSOC reported. A section of the upper level was closed Sunday afternoon during a police investigation.

Pineville Police told the station an argument broke out between a DTLR employee and another person inside the store. The two people got into a physical fight just before the shooting, the Charlotte Observer reported.
Police told the station they suspect the two people are not strangers. The worker was reportedly taken into custody.

Investigators believe there the duo might have had an ongoing dispute before the fight.
