Charges Pending in Sexual Assault of 14 Year Old Charlotte Student
Alleged Attack Of Female Student Occurred At School At The Hands Of Two Other Students

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say two juvenile male students of Whitewater Middle School have been identified in the sexual assault of a 14 year-old female student of the same school.
Detectives from CMPD’s Crimes Against Children Unit are investigating the March 23 incident they say occurred at the school on Running Rapids Road. “Charges are pending as detectives are working through the juvenile court process,” CMPD said in a statement.
School officials have camera footage from inside the school before the alleged assault, the mother of the juvenile victim told WSOCTV.

“They (the school) told me that they’d seen it on camera,” the mother told the station. “That she was being pulled in the hallway. They could see where she refused to go along with the boy. There was another young boy that was with him. He didn't do anything to her, but they didn't see any more other than the pulling. Of course, there's no cameras in the restroom."
Her daughter was forced to perform a sexual act inside the bathroom, she said.
