Charlotte-area Simon centers to participate in Susan G. Komen 2017 More Than Pink™ Movement

Simon will continue its engagement as one of five national Susan G. Komen® sponsors through its Charlotte-area centers, including Charlotte Premium Outlets, Concord Mills and SouthPark. The initiative encourages employees, retailers and shoppers to participate in activities and contribute to the achievement of Komen’s bold goal of reducing current U.S. breast cancer deaths by 50 percent by 2026.

Visitors to Charlotte Premium Outlets, Concord Mills and SouthPark will notice the pink theme carried out at the Guest Services booths and staff will be honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning pink accessories. Other planned activities include:

• Charlotte Premium Outlets:
o Discount Card Program: $10 Discount Cards will be sold providing 25 percent off one item at participating retailers such as kate spade new york, Michael Kors, Lucky Brand, Under Armour and more! All proceeds from the sale of Discount Cards go to Susan G. Komen.
o Gift Cards: Simon is offering a Susan G. Komen Visa® Simon Giftcard. For every Gift Card purchased, Simon will donate $1 towards Susan G. Komen.**
o More Than Pink Hero Wall: An opportunity for survivors and their families to visually articulate their strength during their fight against breast cancer. Shoppers may purchase a sticker for a $1 donation and post the sticker on the More Than Pink Hero Wall. All proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen.

• Concord Mills:
o Discount Card Program: $10 Discount Cards will be sold providing 25 percent off one item at participating retailers. All proceeds from the sale of Discount Booklets go to Susan G. Komen.
o Gift Cards: Simon is offering a Susan G. Komen Visa® Simon Giftcard. For every Gift Card purchased, Simon will donate $1 towards Susan G. Komen.**
o Hero Photo Opportunity: A photo booth will be near Guest Services on select weekends during the month of October.

• SouthPark:
o Discount Card Program: $5 Discount Cards will be sold providing 15 percent off one item at participating retailers. All proceeds from the sale of Discount Booklets go to Susan G. Komen.

o More Than Pink Silent Auction: Saturday, October 21 in Center Court.
Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of fabulous items throughout the day. All proceeds from the auction go to Susan G. Komen.
o One in Eight Visual Display: Monday, October 2 - 31 in Center Court.
SouthPark has partnered with Charlotte Radiology to provide a sobering opportunity for guests to visualize the widespread impact of breast cancer. Eight mannequins will represent the one in eight women who will develop breast cancer by sporting pink fashions from Athleta, Belk, J. Crew, Johnny Was, Lilly Pulitzer, Macy’s and Nordstrom.
