Charlotte Douglas Airport Open But Some Flights Canceled
American Airlines cancelled 353 flights out of Charlotte Monday as Tropical Storm Irma rolled through the southeast.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- If you have a flight out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport today, you should double check its status. While the airport is open, Tropical Storm Irma’s push into Georgia and South Carolina have prompted widespread flight cancellations.
North Carolina will begin to see heavy rain and gusty winds Monday reaching up to 43 mph and possibly leading to isolated tornadoes, state officials warned as Tropical Storm Irma continued its westward path through the southeast U.S.
American Airlines, for example, has cancelled 353 flights out of Charlotte Monday. The airline announced that due to the severe weather, it would be waiving trip change fees for certain routes affected. You can find a list of those routes here.
