Garinger High School student Jamari White was arrested today for assaulting his girlfriend and school officers.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Garinger High School student Jamari White, 17, was arrested today following his assault of his 16-year-old girlfriend and two Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department school resource officers. The officers were responding to the domestic violence assault Monday at the school’s Sugar Creek parking lot entrance when White began to attack them, according to CMPD.

One of the officers attempted to restrain White with a Taser, however, it was unsuccessful. A second Taser attempt was made by the second officer, allowing them to restrain White and take him into custody, CMPD said.

White was taken to Carolinas Medical Center as a precaution, then arrested and charged with two counts of assault on a government official, one could of simple assault and one could of resisting a public officer.
