Here's your complete guide to Fourth of July fireworks shows, parades and other festive events in and around Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, NC — There's no better way to celebrate our nation's independence than getting outside, hearing music, hanging with friends and, of course, catching a live firework display. This year, July 4th is on a Wednesday but there are heaps of opportunity to enjoy before then.
The Fourth of July will be red, white, blue and, unfortunately, gray thanks to cloud cover expected in the Queen City and Lake Norman region on Wednesday, July 4. In fact, cloud cover and pop-up showers will be part of the forecast just about every day between now and the holiday, according to the National Weather Service. - Summer Pops - Celebrate America!, Charlotte — Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall, 4400 Sharon Road, Charlotte. 8:15 p.m. Join your Charlotte Symphony for a rousing salute to America with a night of patriotic favorites including Sousa marches, "America the Beautiful," the Armed Forces Medley ... all topped off by a spectacular fireworks finale.
Tuesday, July 3
- July 3rd Celebration, Mooresville — Lowe’s YMCA, 170 Joe V. Knox Avenue, Mooresville. In partnership with the Town of Mooresville, the Lowe's YMCA July 3rd Summer Celebration is a community staple, bringing together families from across the Lake Norman community to enjoy fellowship, local entertainment and food, kid-friendly activities, and of course, spectacular fireworks. Bring a blanket and chairs, and arrive early.
- 4th of July Festival, Charlotte — U.S. National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte.This two-day festival features outdoor adventure, yoga, live music, and spectacular firework displays.
Wednesday, July 4
- July 4th Celebration, Huntersville — Birkdale Village, 16725 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Huntersville. 10 a.m. Family-friendly entertainment, including face painters and balloon artists, plus the annual bike parade and fire department water fight.
- 4th of July Parade, Davidson — McEver Field, South Street, Davidson. 5:15 p.m. There are no fireworks in Davidson, but citizens are invited to celebrate our nation’s independence with a homespun, downtown parade and a concert on the green on Wednesday, July 4 .
- Skyshow & Street Party 2018, Charlotte — BB&T Ballpark, 324 South Mint Street, Charlotte. 2 p.m - 10 p.m. Mint Street shuts down in front of the ballpark for this all-day street party featuring music and family entertainment. Catch a Charlotte Knights baseball game, then stay for what event organizers call “the Southeast’s largest outdoor fireworks spectacular.”
- Celebrate America Fireworks Show, Charlotte — Carowinds, 300 Carowinds Boulevard, Charlotte. 9:30 p.m. Carowinds celebrates the 4th of July in this annual fireworks celebration show.
- 4th of July Celebration at Queen’s Landing — Free event lakeside with all day fun. Queen’s Landing, 1459 River Highway, Mooresville. 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.
