Charlotte Man Buys Winning $100K Lottery Ticket At Airport
Steven Rush of Charlotte bought the winning Powerball ticket at a vending machine at the Charlotte Bistro at the airport.
CHARLOTTE, NC β A Charlotte man is $100,000 richer after buying a Powerball ticket at a vending machine at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, according to state lottery officials.
Steveb Rush purchased a $3 Power Play ticket in the machine at the Charlotte Bistro. His Quick Pick ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball for the June 1 drawing, and was only one number away from winning the jackpot, NC Education Lottery said.
After paying federal and state taxes, Rush took home $70,746, lottery officials said.
