Missing Charlotte Man Hit While Walking Along I-85: CMPD
John Zedrick Jennings went missing Sunday and was later found in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle on I-85, CMPD says.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- A 62-year-old man with cognitive issues who went missing Sunday was found in an area hospital with no identification after he was struck by a vehicle while walking along Interstate 85, according to Charlotte police.
John Zedrick Jennings was reported missing Sunday. Nov. 5 after he was last seen around 1:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Montana Drive in Charlotte. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, green pants and mismatched shoes. One shoe was grey and one was black, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.
Late Sunday, CMPD announced Jennings had been located in an area hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while he was walking along the interstate, near Brookshire Freeway.

“At the time of the accident Mr. Jennings was not carrying identification and his identity was unknown which is why no one had been notified of his whereabouts,” CMPD said.
