Charlotte Man Indicted On Federal Sex Trafficking Charges: FBI

If convicted, Xaver Boston of Charlotte potentially faces a minimum of 90 years behind bars for sex trafficking young women, the FBI said.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A 28-year-old Charlotte man has been arrested and indicted for sex trafficking and prostitution women, including one minor, according to unsealed federal court documents, FBI Charlotte announced Tuesday.

According to the federal indictments, Xaver Boston of Charlotte operated a prostitution ring that sex trafficked young women between 2012 and the spring of 2016, as well as between spring 2017 and September 2017.

Court documents say Boston would advertise the women on Backpage.com, and kept the proceeds of the sexual encounters for himself. He controlled the women by supplying drugs, such as heroin, and used violence to punish them when he suspected they were lying to him, not following his directions or keeping money from him, the FBI statement said.
