Charlotte Motor Speedway To Host Drive-In Movies: Event Details
The Charlotte Motor Speedway is turning into a giant drive-in movie theater for two events to benefit charity.
CONCORD, NC — Families in the Charlotte metro will soon have a new option for socially distanced entertainment. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is turning into a giant drive-in movie theater for two events to benefit Speedway Children's Charities.
The events will take place Wednesday, July 1 and Wednesday, July 8 at the speedway located at 5555 Concord Parkway South in Concord. Tickets are sold per vehicle, which may have up to 10 passengers. Coolers are allowable, and prepackaged food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
The events will be held rain or shine, organizers said.

The July 1 event is a showing of "The Goonies," and includes fireworks. The movie begins at 7 p.m., and will be immediately followed up with the fireworks display. Tickets are $40 per vehicle.
On July 8, The Secret Life of Pets will be shown. Ticket prices for this event are $30 per vehicle.
