CMPD Collecting Toys Today On Providence Road, Birkdale
This is the 43rd year the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has distributed toys to needy children. Here's how you can help.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and the CMPD Police Explorers are collecting toys today for needy children at Promenade on Providence and Birkdale Village as part of their annual project to help spread holiday cheer to less fortunate families in the region.
This year marks the 43rd year for the CMPD Explorers Christmas Project, which aims to give each child at least three presents and provide each family with a grocery store gift card for purchase of Christmas Dinner.
Collections on Tuesday, Dec. 19 will take place at the Promenade on Providence located at 10844 Providence Road or at Birkdale Village, located at 16805 Birkdale Commons Parkway in Huntersville, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
