Charlotte Police Investigating After Man Gunned Down Overnight
A 24-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday night in west Charlotte, and CMPD detectives searching for his killer.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Charlotte police are asking for the public’s assistance after a 24-year-old man was shot and killed Sunday in west Charlotte. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police identified the gunshot victim as Kenneth Bernard Edwards.
CMPD officers responding to a 911 call Dec. 3 around 9:30 p.m. found Edwards with a gunshot wound at the crime scene in the 4400 block of Roadway Street. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
CMPD homicide detectives are now canvassing the area in search of witnesses to the incident.
