Charlotte Police Make Arrest In Decade-Old Quadruple Murder Case
Dominick Oneill Daise was charged with the four murders that occurred more than a decade ago, CMPD said Thursday.

CHARLOTTE, NC — More than a decade after three men and a woman were found murdered in a south Charlotte apartment, police have charged a suspect in their slaying, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said Thursday.
Dominick Oneill Daise, 32, has been charged with the 2008 shooting deaths of William Royster, 46; Andrew Babyak, 43; Cherilyn Crawford, 31; and Timothy Stone, 33. The four were all found shot to death shortly before 6 a.m. in an apartment located at 720 High Meadow Lane in Charlotte on March 24, 2008.
“As a result of continued investigation into this homicide by the CMPD’s Cold Case Unit, Daise was identified as a suspect, and murder warrants were subsequently issued for his arrest,” CMPD said Thursday in announcing the cold case arrest.

Daise was arrested without incident and questions at CMPD headquarters. He was then charged with four counts of murder.
According to CMPD, the police department’s Cold Case Unit has reviewed 179 homicides dating as far back as 1979, and has cleared 49 cases.
