Charlotte police have arrested a 15-year-old for an armed robbery near East Meck High, and a man wanted for a recent string of heists.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- Police have made two arrests in two seperate armed robbery cases. One of the accused is a 15-years-old, who Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say was involved in a Wednesday morning armed robbery that left a victim pistol whipped in the head near East Mecklenburg High School.
The Feb. 21 armed robbery occurred around 8 a.m., when the victim was struck in the head and robbed of his money before two suspects took off on foot. The high school’s resource officer put the school into lockdown, while CMPD officers got a suspect description from the victim.
The suspects were located “within a few minutes” by a K-9 team, and were still in possession of the handgun and “contraband,” according to police. The two juveniles were taken to police headquarters for an interview, however, police determined only one was involved in the crime.
