Charlotte Police Searching For Suspect Wanted In Shooting
Reginald Trent Chisholm, Jr., 28, is homeless and is a suspect in an April 8 shooting near Uptown Charlotte, CMPD said.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the community's assistance in locating a homeless man they say is wanted in a shooting of a man near Uptown earlier last month.
The shooting occurred April 8 shortly before 2 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a statement. Officers responded to the crime scene in the 100 block of Cherry Street, where they located a man with a gun shot wound.

"Chisholm is known to be homeless and often frequents the area of Luther Street and Cherry Street, as well as local shelters," CMPD said.
Chisholm is wanted on the following outstanding warrants according to CMPD: assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill; firearm by felon, and shooting within city limits.

CMPD said anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Chisholm is asked to call 9-1-1, or leave information anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
