Charlotte Region: Best, Worst In The U.S. For Football Fans
Football fans in Charlotte have a lot to celebrate, according to this new study.

DAVIDSON, NC -- All season long, football fans root and holler in the name of their favorite team, with all those allegiances boiling down to the season’s biggest game: the Super Bowl. As the nation gears up for Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis this weekend on Sunday, Feb. 4, it’s fair to say the country is in full-tilt football mode. But according to one website, not all cities in the U.S. are the same when it comes to fandom. In fact, two cities in the Charlotte metro region are rated as among the best and the absolute worst places for football fans in the U.S., according to WalletHub.
The personal finance site compared 243 cities throughout the nation that had at least one college or professional football team and ranked them based on 21 metrics in order to find the best place in the country for football fans.
“Our data set ranges from number of NFL and college football teams to average ticket price for an NFL game to fan friendliness,” WalletHub said.
