Check Your Car Seat: Britax Child Seats Recalled Due To Choking Hazard
Britax child safety seats have been recalled due to a chest clip choking hazard. Is your child's seat model on the list?

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Some models of Britax child car seats are being recalled due a chest clip tab that may break and become a choking hazard, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Tuesday.
According to NHTSA, the rear-facing seat have a center tab on the chest clip that is marked “ABS” that may break. In a June 20 letter to Fort Mill, S.C.-based Britax Child Safety, Inc., NHTSA said the recall could lead to a recall of more than 207,000 child safety seats.
Affected car seats can still be used safely, if the chest clip is removed or the center tab of the clip is monitored for breakage, Britax said Wednesday. “The chest clip is not a required safety device: it is added to the harness system to help position the shoulder straps,” it said.
