Chesterbrook Academy Campers Collect Books for Sick Children

Campers presented their donation of books, crayons and colored pencils to a Catawba Valley Medical Center representative

On July 24, summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Hickory presented 40 bags of books to a representative from Catawba Valley Medical Center. From June 25-July 13, summer campers collected activity books, sticker books, coloring books, crayons and colored pencils items to create busy bags, which helps keep children at the hospital entertained while receiving treatment. Through this initiative, summer campers learned the importance of helping other children in their community.
