Chesterbrook Academy Preschoolers in Hickory Give Back

Students held donation drives in support of Family Care Center, Trinity Ridge Nursing Center and Make-a-Wish® Foundation

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Hickory recently took part in several initiatives to give back this holiday season. Students held a pajama drive and collected 35 pajamas to benefit local families in need through Family Care Center. To help local seniors, students collected donations of soap, lotion, calendars, pens and candy, and packed them into care bags for residents at Trinity Ridge Nursing Center. A resident from the facility visited Chesterbrook Academy to pick up the donations and read a book to students. Additionally, students hosted a silent auction and raised $350 for Make-a-Wish® Foundation to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and helping others.
