Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in Charlotte Hold Food Drive

Chesterbrook Academy students donated dozens of items to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to help feed local families in need

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschools on Mallard Creek Road and Providence Road West in Charlotte recently donated dozens of nonperishable food items to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Throughout December, students and their families collected a variety of items to help stock the food bank’s shelves and feed local people in need this holiday season. Students then organized the donations to prepare them for delivery to the organization. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community and helping others.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina strives through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food. The organization has been in existence since 1981.
