Chesterbrook Academy Preschools Raise $8,000 for Make-A-Wish

Chesterbrook Academy principals visited Make-A-Wish® in Charlotte to present the donation to foundation representatives

On Dec. 20, principals from Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in North Carolina and South Carolina presented a big check for more than $8,000 to representatives at Make-A-Wish® Central & Western North Carolina in Charlotte. The donation will help grant the wishes of local children with critical illnesses.

Eleven Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in Cary, Charlotte, Denver, Hickory, Huntersville, Mooresville, Raleigh and Weddington, N.C., as well as Columbia, S.C., partnered to raise money for Make-A-Wish® this holiday season. During the weeks of Dec. 3 and Dec. 10, each school held a series of “Wish Week” fundraisers, which included ornament sales, silent auctions, spirit days, movie nights, photos with Santa, spaghetti dinners, bake sales, raffles, gift wrapping and more. At Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Huntersville, parents had the opportunity to purchase a pie for their students to pie either the principal or assistant principal in the face.

Since 2016, Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in North Carolina and South Carolina have raised more than $30,000 for Make-A-Wish® through their collective efforts.
