College Street Death Now Being Investigated As Homicide: CMPD

The case of a 38-year-old man found dead Saturday on North College Street is now being investigated as a homicide, according to CMPD.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- The case of a 38-year-old man found dead Saturday on North College Street is now being investigated as a homicide, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

CMPD found Joseph Bellamy in the 900 block of North Tryon Street Sept. 2 around 1:15 p.m., pronouncing him dead on the scene from “unknown trauma.”

Following a report from the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner, however, the case was ruled a homicide.
