NC shoppers should check their pantry for a recalled line of Del Monte canned corn, the Food and Drug Administration says.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Del Monte Foods on Dec. 11 said it is recalling a type of its canned corn sold in North Carolina and 24 other states because of the risk of contamination. The company said that 64,242 cases of fiesta corn seasoned with red and green peppers are subject to recall.
Changes in the commercial sterilization process could result in contamination and life-threatening illness if the product is consumed.
