Breaking: Dive Teams Locate Body In Missing Boater Search
Dive teams have located a body after a day-long search for a boater who went missing Monday night on Lake Norman.
UPDATE: Search and recovery crews have located a body in Lake Norman and have concluded their operations, officials say.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Dive search teams searched Lake Norman Tuesday, looking for a missing boater who went missing following an accident Monday evening, officials say.
Searchers from Huntersville Fire Department and the Charlotte Fire Department dive scoured Lake Norman May 16, using sonar runs along the accident scene. Tuesday evening, Huntersville fire officials took to Twitter to issue an update, saying, “We’ve identified a high probability target. Dive Team is on scene, moving to Dive on target now.”

Officials are warning local residents to avoid the Ramsey Creek/Blythe Landing area.
