Driver Shot, Killed in East Charlotte
A man was shot and killed in a car in east Charlotte Tuesday evening, according to police.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- A man was found shot and killed inside a vehicle in East Charlotte Tuesday night, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released pending family notification, was found in the 6700 block of East Independence Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8. He was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics, CMPD said.

CMPD has launched an investigation into the homicide and asks anyone with information about this case call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
