Drunk, Gun-Wielding 300-Pound Man In Kilt Pulled From Salisbury Roof

A 300-pound drunk man in a kilt had to be pulled off a rooftop in downtown Salisbury early Thursday morning after he threatened to shoot.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- A drunk 300-pound man wearing a kilt and tactical vest threatening to shoot people had to be pulled off a rooftop in Salisbury, N.C. with a fire department bucket truck Thursday morning, according to a report.

Around 2 a.m. June 15, Salisbury police received a call that Brian Allen, 43, was on the rooftop above the country-themed Nashville Nights nightclub in downtown Salisbury, WSOC reported. Officers later found him on a rooftop further down the street, and said he had knives, pistol, ammunition and a hatchet tucked behind his back.

Officers had to use the bucket truck to get Allen down because of his weight and intoxicated state, WSOC said. Allen was not arrested, but was cited for carrying a gun, for which he had a concealed carry permit, while drinking, the station added.
