Dad Kills Mom And Wife In Charlotte; Daughter, 12, Critical: Cops

Investigators say the lone suspect, Anticoco Andrade Chacon, 37, was found dead at the scene in Windsor Park.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A father shot his mother, wife and 12-year-old daughter in a Charlotte apartment before turning the gun on himself, police said, leaving three people dead and one critically hurt.

Police were called to the scene just after 8:30 a.m. Saturday for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at an apartment on the 2200 block of Kilborne Drive, in Windsor Park. Inside, they found four people had been shot.

Three people were declared dead at the scene and a fourth was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. Police said a preliminary investigation indicated the shooting was domestic related and the victims knew each other.

Investigators on Sunday morning identified two of the deceased victims as Asuncion Chacon-Perez, 61, and Marina Bravo Aguilar, 37. Investigators said the lone suspect, Anticoco Andrade Chacon, 37, was also found dead at the scene.

Police said Chacon fatally shot his mother, Chacon-Perez, along with Aguilar, his wife. He then shot his 12-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself, police said.

The daughter was in critical condition at Cariolinas Medical Center. Her name is being withheld due to her age.

An investigation remains ongoing.
