FBI On The Hunt For ‘Ball Cap Bandit’ Behind Bank Heists

The suspect is wanted for at least three recent bank robberies in the Charlotte area. Here's what the FBI is saying about him.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Federal Bureau of Investigation Charlotte field office is asking for the public’s help locating a bank robbery suspect they’ve named the “Ball Cap Bandit,” who they say is involved in at least three Charlotte metro robberies in a month.

“The same unknown suspect is believed to be responsible for three bank robberies in North Carolina,” the FBI said Wednesday.

On March 11, the suspect, who is described as a while male with a thin build, robbed Wells Fargo located at 13715 Conlan Circle in Charlotte. Two weeks later, on March 25, he struck again at the Employees Credit Union on NC Hwy 24/27 Bypass West in Albemarle, North Carolina.
