Flu Deaths Continue In North Carolina

Five more in the state have died as a result of flu complications , moving this season's death toll to 136.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Flu continues to be widespread throughout North Carolina, and has claimed five more people last week, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.

The death toll due to flu complications in the state is now 136, The News & Observer reported. The tally is twice that of last year’s flu season, but still lower than the 2014-2015 season that claimed 208 people.
