CHARLOTTE, NC -- When it comes to basketball, all eyes will be on Phoenix this weekend as the NCAA Final Four gears up for tip off Saturday afternoon. But with half the game roster coming from the Carolinas, regional airports are swamped with travelers.

“It’s a sea of Garnet, Black & Carolina Blue in here early this morning,” Charlotte Douglas International Airport said in a tweet Friday morning.

The Charlotte airport reported high Final Four traffic the morning of March 31, advising passengers to allow extra time to get through security.
