Gastonia Caregiver Receives Honor for Providing Unparalleled Care

Maddison Lopez Morrison, a caregiver at BrightStar Care® of Northern Charlotte/Huntersville, was awarded the Regional Southeast Caregiver of the Year from her employer, BrightStar Care®. Beloved by her clients for going above and beyond, Maddison continues to leave a positive impact on the lives of her clients and is dedicated to continuing to provide a higher standard of care.

Maddison, who has been working with her client for the past two years, has been nominated in recognition of her exceptional service and dedication. Serving as her client's eyes due to her client's severe visual impairment, Maddison has become an indispensable part of her client's life. Her intuitive understanding of her client's needs, often anticipating them before they are voiced, and her uplifting presence have profoundly enriched her client's life. Without Maddison's compassionate care, her client would likely require facility-based living. Instead, Maddison's support enables her client to enjoy the independence and comfort of living in her own home. The bond they have formed is beautiful and heartwarming, with Maddison consistently bringing joy and security to her client's life.

Maddison was honored as a regional winner during a surprise ceremony at the BrightStar Care® of Northern Charlotte/Huntersville office on July 25. In Fall 2024, BrightStar Care will announce its national Nurse and Caregiver of the Year award winners at its annual conference.
