Gunshot Victim Succumbs To Injuries Days After Shooting
Subhi Elmasharawy, 22, who was shot Sunday evening in north Charlotte, died Wedneday. Police continue the search for his killer.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A 22-year-old man has died from injuries, days after a weekend shooting in north Charlotte sent the gunshot victim to an area hospital, fighting for his life, police confirm.
The victim is identified as Subhi Elmasharawy, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a statement. He was pronounced dead Jan. 9 at an area hospital.
On Jan. 6, responding police officers responding to an emergency call around 9 p.m. found Elmasharawy with a gunshot wound at a residence in the 2000 block of Pimpernel Road in the University area.

CMPD is investigating the shooting and asks that anyone with information about this incident call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide unit detective, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
