Here's your Patch list of fun Halloween events coming up this month in Charlotte and Lake Norman.

The leaves are slowly starting the drop and pumpkins are popping up everywhere, which means it’s time to find a costume and make a plan for Halloween. Below are some of the best Halloween holiday events to check out in the Queen City and Lake Norman region this month.
CHARLOTTE
- 2017 Retro Horror Series -- See horror movies like Carrie and Friday the 13th on the big screen for $5 a ticket. Ayrsley Grand Cinemas 14, 9110 Kings Parade Boulevard, Charlotte.
- Paranormal Grounds Investigation at Historic Rosedale Plantation, 3427 North Tryon Street, Charlotte. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21.
- Carolina History and Haunts ghost tour -- Hear ghost stories by lantern light in uptown Charlotte. Tours all year long.
- Boo Bash at Symphony Park -- Family friendly Halloween fun includes trick or treating, costume parade and prizes, arts and crafts, face painting and more. Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall, 4400 Sharon Road, Charlotte. Sunday, Oct. 22, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

HUNTERSVILLE
- Halloween in Huntersville & Fireworks Spooktacular -- Costumed revelers descend on Rural Hill for a day of family fun that includes live music, bounce houses, a magician, airbrush tattoos, Halloween crafts, and food trucks and vendors, and fireworks. Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road, Huntersville. Saturday, Oct. 21, 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- All Hallows Eve Family Day at Historic Latta Plantation -- Dress up in your best costumes, pack a picnic and tour historic Latta Plantation. Costume contests at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Latta Plantation, 5225 Sample Road, Huntersville. Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Ghost Walk Haunted Tour at Latta Plantation -- “The curse of the Headless Horseman haunts the Latta Plantation as it's transformed into Sleepy Hollow,” say organizers. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27 and Oct. 28, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.
- Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze -- Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Road, Huntersville. Sept. 9 - Nov. 5, Fridays & Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
CORNELIUS

- Halloween Parade -- Costumed kiddos line up, strut their stuff and trick-or-treat from shops in this beloved annual event in downtown Davidson. Main Street, Friday, Oct. 27, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
MOORESVILLE
- Impeccable Spooky Pooch costume event -- Impeccable Pets Resort & Spa is hosting an afternoon of activities including a costume contest, pumpkin carving, face painting and games. 253 Williamson Road, Mooresville. Saturday, Oct. 28, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- Downtown Mooresville Trick-Or-Treating, Oct 31 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
