Here’s Where You Can Find NC’s Best Sandwich: People

NORTH CAROLINA — The best sandwich in all of North Carolina can apparently be found in Chapel Hill. Whether or not one agrees if that truly is North Carolina’s best sandwich is a topic for another day.

The information is according to a new list of the best sandwich in every state from People Magazine, which teamed up with the online restaurant guide “The Infatuation.” At Merritt’s Store & Grill, the magazine recommended the Signature BLT with Pimento Cheese sandwich.

Here’s what People wrote was notable about the restaurant and sandwich:

“Standing on a gravel lot near the University of North Carolina, this student favorite spot is famous for their BLTs stuffed with a generous handful of bacon. Don’t miss their Signature BLT with Pimento Cheese on locally made sourdough bread.”

People writes that they considered The Infatuation’s expertise when compiling the list and paid special attention “to eateries serving regionally-inspired dishes and using locally-sourced ingredients.”
