Data from the study showed that "more than 50 people have drowned in North Carolina pools in the last three years and nearly half of them were children." (WCNC.com)
  2. Elevation Church's 'Love Week' focused on giving back to the community. Members of the church braved the unbearable heat to help Charlotte families in need. These volunteers were all over the Charlotte area, doing other projects like serving food at the Crisis Assistance Ministry in uptown." (WBTV)

Several dozen local and national talents will be featured during this festival. Such as: Weird Al Yankovic, Comedy Bang Bang!
