Man Shoots 3 Of 4 Suspects He Says Ambushed Him: Report
The victim reportedly told police the group of young men ambushed him in a robbery attempt in an east Charlotte apartment complex.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A Charlotte man shot three of four young men in what he told police was an ambush robbery attempt overnight in the parking lot of an east Charlotte apartment complex, according to reports.
The incident occurred around midnight in the Hillrock Estates complex located on Magnolia Hill Drive, at Eastway Drive and Kilborne Drive, according to WSOC.
According to the station, the suspects bolted from the scene following the shooting and the victim was not injured in the incident.

Three of the suspects — two of whom were injured — were located by responding police officers. The two suspects with gunshot wounds were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the third person, who was not injured, was detained. About an hour after the incident, another injured person believed to be connected to the incident was dropped off at an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound in the chest, WSOC said.
Police have not yet released the identities of the suspects or their ages. This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
