Man Shot In NC Music Factory Garage, In Critical Condition: CMPD

Police launched an investigation after a man was shot in the parking garage of NC Music Factory in Charlotte early Sunday.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A shooting in the parking garage of a popular music venue early Sunday left a man in critical condition, according to police, who are searching for the gunman in the attack.

According to a report by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers responded to the scene at NC Music Factory in the 1100 block of Hamilton Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sept. 22.

The male victim, who was not initially identified by authorities, was found with a gunshot wound near the parking deck. He was transported to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center for treatment and was listed as being in critical condition, CMPD said.

CMPD detectives responded to the scene and canvassed the area for additional witnesses.

CMPD said the case remains active and ongoing, and said anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call 911, or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
